Robert Half Finance Assistant - Fund Reporting and Admin Support in San Francisco, California

Our client is a prominent Asia focused fund of funds that helps institutional investors with private equity investments globally. The firm focuses on delivering risk-adjusted returns through a portfolio of value-added strategies to investors.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a support capacity for finance, accounting, legal, or another professional services department. The candidate will be an integral member of the Finance team with substantial responsibility from day one. This is a perfect position for someone looking to build a career in an administrative capacity at a leading private equity firm.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Fund Reporting: 80%

  • Track and manage the collection of financial notices from underlying investments, including capital call and distribution notices, capital statements, financial statements, K-1s and other investment related notices

  • Disseminate finance, accounting and investment reports to various internal and external groups

  • Track and manage information requests from audit and tax providers

  • Assist with data collection for tax compliance requirements

  • Support fund accountants as needed on data entry, filing and other accounting related duties

  • Assist with various ad hoc projects as requested

Administrative Support: 20%

  • Provide administrative support to CFO and Finance department

  • Manage and reconcile monthly expense report for CFO

  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings and events, including preparation of meeting materials, presentations, agendas and notes

  • Provide coverage for office administrative support

    Requirements

Keys:

  • 0-2+ years’ experience in a supportive administrative capacity. Exposure to investment management is a plus but not required.

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Econ. Other degree also is OK.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

  • Excellent time management / organizational skills
