Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Project Management Specialist (Level 2 or 3) to join the Business Operations team based out of Salt Lake City, Utah with potential support needed in West Jordan , Utah.

Boeing Salt Lake fabricates and assembles both metal and composite structures for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. This position integrates with Airplane Programs, Fabrication Division, Composite and Metal Capability Teams, and Boeing Salt Lake Teams for project visibility and accountability supporting strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.

  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans.

  • Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.

  • Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.

  • Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules.

  • Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, change information to project team.

  • Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholders.

  • Program/Project Manager supporting a major Boeing Salt Lake product line such as the Composite Horizontal or Vertical Stabilizer Fabrication and Assembly, Metals Flight Deck Structures Fabrication and Assembly, Overwing Exit Doors Assembly, Paint Operations, or new strategic work.

  • Lead and integrate Boeing Salt Lake cross-functional teams to ensure work transfer execution, rate readiness, production risk identification and mitigation, product line performance improvements and execution, and running the business.

  • Utilize project management tools/processes to support ad hoc studies and implementations in support of company directives and initiatives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience performing in a Business Operations, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Change Management, Strategy, Project Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent support role

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, and leading high level projects for various levels of Management

  • 3+ years of experience working in a dynamic manufacturing work environment, to include managing multiple projects/priorities

  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft office tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or experience with Boeing's Program Management Best Practices or equivalent program/project management processes

  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects, plans, and initiatives to meet business goals

  • Experience working across multiple programs and/or functions in a manufacturing environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.)

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range:

Summary pay range (Level 2): $69,000.00 - $93,000

Summary pay range (Level 3): $88,000.00 - $118,000
