Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Manufacturing Representatives to support the Line Side Control Center (LSCC) Manufacturing Teams in Salt Lake City, Utah and West Jordan, Utah .

Successful hires in this role will have knowledge of composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks; knowledge of precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components, machining, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, and fabrication tasks; knowledge of wire harnesses and avionics products; knowledge of test articles and fixtures; knowledge of assembly, repair, and modifications; knowledge of machine set-up, and data collection devices to perform various tests; and knowledge of complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements. These positions will support either a 1st or 2nd shift working schedule.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.

  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.

  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.

  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.

  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.

  • Performs organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

  • Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

  • Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.

  • Experience with One BPS BPSM/RSPS problem solving models.

  • Comfortable with computer-based systems.

  • Ability to work a 1st or 2nd shift schedule (1st: M-F, 6:45am - 3:30pm | 2nd: M-F, 3:30pm - 12:00am).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work any shift needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working in a team-based environment

  • 1+ years of team leadership experience (formal or informal)

Typical Education/Experience:

Basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $53,550 - $72,450
