Red River Sr. AWS Cloud Engagement Presales Solutions Architect. in Richmond, Virginia
Job Summary
As a key member of the Design Engineering team, the Design Architect – Cloud Engagements is an AWS subject matter expert with a passion for driving sales engagements and supporting customers with their cloud journeys. This position works closely with our sales teams as well as our pre-sales cloud architects to drive Red River’s cloud pipeline.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the AWS ecosystem, the cloud industry and how to position the value of Red River’s services. This has a strong focus on cloud architectures, and the outcomes customers experience along their journey, especially the business drivers to cloud adoption across the combination of people, process, and technology.
Essential Job Functions
Experience at driving AWS technical sales activities at the customer level.
Expert at reading the room and can lead discussions at the level of the audience in attendance. Able to hold technical and non-technical conversations as appropriate
Partner with Red River technical SME’s to convert business requirements into cloud solutions to meet customer business objectives.
Evangelize Red River’s Cloud Practice internally as well as with partners and customers.
Upskilling Red River sellers to identify cloud opportunities
Participating in proposal writing and technical responses
Expert at delivering presentations and communicating with senior stakeholders
Provide leadership to all internal delivery teams by communicating the overall objectives and strategies for the account and outlining clear initiatives and timeframes to achieve them. Specific account strategies and plans should be documented and reviewed as appropriate.
Collaborate with the teams responsible for selling and delivering cloud managed services and associate projects to the client to ensure all strategies, analysis, and recommendations are accurate, appropriate, and consistent with the clients’ objectives
Identify gaps in the cloud market space and spot opportunities to create value propositions and unique differentiators.
Maintain knowledge of topics relevant to Red River’s Cloud Practice, key vendors and partners, and develop strategies for how to continually evolve and improve the quality of results and service delivered to a client.
Help prepare and deliver Executive Business Review presentations on cloud initiatives.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
15 years of work experience
5 years of presales engineering experience
Must be a U.S. citizen and qualify to obtain a Secret Clearance
Active and verified professional level of OEM certifications

Proficiency in vendor specific tools related to the area of expertise
