U.S. Mint Utilities Systems Repairer Operator Supervisor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Summary This position is located at the US MINT in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the Facilities Maintenance Division. As a Utilities Systems Repairer Operator Supervisor you will direct the activities and supervise the utilities personnel of the section. The section is responsible for the maintenance, operation and repair of equipment which supply the major utilities for the operation of the Mint and control of its environment. Responsibilities As a Utilities Systems Repairer Operator Supervisor, you will: Be responsible for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment at all times Be responsible for properly assigning sufficient employees to accomplish work objectives Be responsible for giving instructions and training as required Be responsible for enforcing safety rules Requirements Conditions of Employment A one year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. Undergo an income tax verification Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis. Assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be able to work all shifts on a rotational basis. May be required to wear safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc. Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
