GE Healthcare Production Associate / Assembler in Madison, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

We’re hiring production associates to help build our life-sustaining medical equipment in a fast-paced, clean, quiet, and climate-controlled production environment. You’ll be part of a team building Anesthesia machines, Critical Care Ventilators, Vaporizers or Incubators/Warmers for infants, and will drive product quality, delivery, and Lean processes.

Potential for 1st or 2nd shift.

Key benefits and information

• Great pay: $21.04 increase to $21.44 at 90 days (includes shift differential)

• Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm / 3:30pm to 12:00am and no mandatory overtime

• All hours worked greater than 8 in one day and all hours on Saturday paid at 1 ½ * rate; double time for Sunday hours worked.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions to perform electronic and mechanical assembly

  • Operate hand-held and power tools

  • Utilize test and verification processes to ensure high quality production

  • Document completion of procedures and non-conformance

  • Move, store, transact, and deliver material throughout the plant

  • Support production requirements by performing assigned work as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience

  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work and complete projects on time

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Must be able to physically lift (floor to waist, waist to crown level, and horizontally) up to 35 lbs.

  • Must be able to physically perform simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation, neck rotation, and neck flexion frequently (34-66%) throughout the workday.

  • Must be able to physically twist, push/pull, reach at or above shoulder height, reach below shoulder height occasionally (6-33%) throughout the workday.

  • Must be able to physically stoop, bend, squat, and balance rarely (1-5%) throughout the workday.
