This position can be Full Time, PT, or LTLB, or possibly remote for the candidate with the right skillset.Responsibilities (including but are not limited to)Support of engineering design and analysis projects for the commercial and critical power industryDesign and analysis of changes to existing Data Centers as well as new building systems and new building designPerform static equivalent and dynamic analysis of structures for seismic loads using hand calculations and structural softwareDevelop Equipment mounting, foundation design and Mechanical/Electrical system support calculations and designsUnderstand Seismic Qualification of equipmentUnderstand Seismic Nonstructural/Nonbuilding design and Building Seismic force resisting system design per latest codes and all materialsFamiliar with latest material codes for steel, concrete, cold-formed steel, masonry, and wood constructionFamiliar with the International Building code and building code designPerform reviews, assemble and prepare design reportsLead projects independently and coordinate/delegate assignments to other project team membersPerform site walkdowns to identify design solutions and develop cost-effective problem resolutionsPerform site inspections and field support for construction of structural designsDevelop drawings using CAD softwarePresent project submittals to clients and lead internal and external meetingsSupport proposal development for future structural projectsDevelop specifications of structural componentsDevelop cost estimates of structural modificationsThis position requires the use of structural analysis software as well as standard office production softwarePerform work requiring the application of basic technical principles, theories, standards, and concepts. This will include reading and understanding design drawings and technical specifications as necessary to support preparation of project deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluationsMany projects are multi-disciplined and require extensive interface with other staff engineers as well as engineers working out of our officesRequired Qualifications / skillsBachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 4 years experience in an engineering roleDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredMust be able to work and remain in the United States without sponsorshipProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.Minimum basic level of proficiency in CAD softwareExcellent writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsAbility to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline workMust be able to traverse client sites to conduct walkdowns including, but not limited to, climbing ladders and stairsMust be able to work outside at client sites in all weather conditionsAbility to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needsPreferred...
