Summary:
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients, with a family-centered focus. Scrubs, circulates, assists and schedules Interventional Radiology cases performed in Radiology and the Heart Center Cath Lab. Participates in Nursing and department PI activities. Serves as a resource for clinical problem solving for the Radiology staff, students and other healthcare providers. Uses knowledge and experience as a basis to provide patient care information for patients and families. Represents Radiology on various committees. Rotates call duty 24/7 after orientation.

1. Evaluate and direct car for Radiology and interventional Radiology patients.
2. Serve as a resource for clinical problem solving for the Radiology staff
3. Represent radiology on various committees.
4. Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
2. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and time management skills required.
3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. HRIS is preferred. Benefits Carrier platforms is required.
6. Possesses excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills for the Radiology patient that may decompensate during the exam.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
2. Certification: PALS certification within 6 months of hiring.
3. Years of experience: Minimum of three (3) years- experience as a pediatric RN.
4. Must have excellent IV start skills for all ages, including neonates.
