Position: Rehabilitation Director

Work setting: On-site

Supervisory chain: Reports to Clinical Operations Area Director

The Role

In the capacity of a Rehabilitation Director, you will be heading a compassionate team of clinicians dedicated to patient recovery. This role involves overseeing all the rehabilitation services in your facility, offering direct care to patients when required, and upholding the highest standards of rehabilitation services. You are not just a leader but also a teacher, a healer, and a supporter, filled with a desire to assist patients towards recovery.

Team collaboration is your strong suit, but you are equally good at referring patients to additional help if their wellness depends on it. You demonstrate expertise in guiding your clinical team and in meeting patient's needs. Your main objective is to foster your therapists and assistants, enabling them to design and execute rehabilitation programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance the patients' abilities.

Requirements:


1. Bachelor's degree in any rehabilitation discipline such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology is a must, whereas a Master's degree will be preferred.
2. Valid licensure, or eligibility for the same, as mandated by the state of practice.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing is required.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
5. Should possess the capability of making independent decisions and tackle problems effectively.
6. Familiarity with all state practice laws is necessary.
7. Skill of productive interaction with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
8. Proven ability to effectively manage and motivate staff.
