Job Details
Dayshift 7:30a-4p.
On call responsibilities: every third weekend and 2-3 days per weekday
Provides direct patient care before, during and after procedure.
Assists the physician with adult and pediatric cardiac catheterizations including but not limited to myocardial biopsy, transluminal coronary angioplasty and stenting, and more.
Records, monitors and assesses hemodynamic data collected during catheterizations.
Completes all patient records accurately and in a timely fashion.
Continuously monitors patient's physiologic and psychological status throughout procedure and responds appropriately.
Initiates and maintains IV access, administers medications, intravenous drips and emergency medications.
Operates specialized equipment used in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) in a safe and efficient manner.
Responds appropriately to all emergency situations within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Assesses patient for complications related to medications or procedures and responds appropriately.
Restocks and prepares catheterization laboratory between procedures.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements
Min of 2 years Cardiac experience
BLS/ACLS is required
Must have PA license and ability to get FBI Fingerprint 2 weeks in advance of start date
