Maxar is currently seeking a Personnel Security Team Lead to join our team in Westminster, CO. The role will manage the Personnel Security processing in support of collateral and SCI U.S. Government contracts in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide development and oversight of all aspects of Personnel Security for collateral and SCI programs.
  • Interpret and implement government security requirements in support of classified and commercial contracts.
  • Engage with DoD and IC government counterparts to ensure compliance with government policy and expectations to ensure compliance with corporate and government regulations.
  • Contribute to developing improved processes and protocol and implementing new ideas within Maxar’s Personnel Security Program Office.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior Personnel Security teammates.
  • Initiate, maintain and terminate personnel security clearances in government databases, such as the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) , Scattered Castles, and TALON/SCT
  • Review, respond to, and process all personnel security paperwork for accuracy, completion, and submission.
  • Participate in IC Security Assessments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a current Top Secret and must be willing to obtain SCI accesses with a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of national security policies, to include ICDs, NISPOM, Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and SEADs.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or six years experience with a Master’s degree. Four additional years of work experience may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Current/active Top Secret with SCI access with an adjudicated Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Experience with Personnel Security processes and leading a small team.
  • Experience processing clearances/access for the NRO, NGA and DoD
  • Completion of NRO’s Personnel Security Management Course and FSO Certification for Possessing Facilities.

To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$83,000.00 - $176,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
