Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Litigation Technologist to work on-sight in support of a Federal Agency in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.

In this role, you will gain many skills, such as critical thinking and problem solving, the ability to communicate complicated problems in a concise manner, solve complex problems, and be part of a talented litigation support and eDiscovery technical team.

The candidate will serve as a technical expert on the use of the agency’s available electronic discovery application. The candidate assigned to this task must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

The candidate will provide litigation technology support to include, but not limited to the following activities:

  • Monitor changes to laws that impact civil and criminal litigation to determine their impact on current agency Discovery policies and procedures;
  • Monitor the commercial industry to determine how new technology or best practices can be applied to improve the agency’s discovery capabilities
  • Verify that any proposed solution to an existing requirement satisfactorily
  • meets the underlying need;
  • Conduct testing of system upgrades or patches prior to release;
  • Verify that any proposed solution successfully delivers a new functional business capability that addresses one or more existing requirements;
  • Provide advice on identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI in support of civil litigation, selected criminal matters, select FOIA requests, Congressional requests and other external inquiries using the current suite of agency tools and processes;
  • Monitor daily separation reports to identify departing legal hold custodians and ensure proper preservation of material subject to legal hold requirements;
  • Update and/or create standard operating procedures of the eDiscovery Technical Advisor role;
  • Provide a strong technical background on the use of electronic discovery applications and provide a strong legal background and expertise on the electronic discovery applications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with data collection, use of technology to facilitate discovery, management or training of discovery teams and familiarity with litigation practices
  • Active Clearance: Top Secret with SSBI and ability to obtain SCI clearance.
  • Experience maintaining case-related documents in litigation support and document management databases.
  • Experience organizing and overseeing document collections, uploads, processing, and productions.
  • Technical ability to validate collection sets for accuracy and gaps.
  • Expert technical user of eDiscovery tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in beta testing eDiscovery tools, applications, and/or upgrades prior to release.
  • Shall be able to advise and develop documentation on technical best practices in eDiscovery.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in translating legal requirements into technical requirements and to provide end-user training to non-technical users.
  • Experience creating standard operating procedures and/or best practices of technical applications for end users.
  • Demonstrated successful coordination with IT partners in analysis of discovery tools and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a Federal Government environment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
