General Summary of Position

a Radiology Technologist to join our team at National Rehabilitation Network!

The ideal candidate will possess skills necessary to operate conventional, fluoroscopic, and diagnostic radiology equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and obtain routine radiographs of designated body areas according to physician specification and radiographic protocols, basic computer knowledge to be able to enter data and information into the Radiology Information System.

Primary Duties:

  • Prepares patient for diagnostic imaging procedures, explains procedures, and correlates clinical history. Lifts the patient onto and off examination table.

  • Properly positions patient for X-ray exam, fluoroscopy procedure, adjusts immobilization devices and affixes appropriate radiation shielding.

  • Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures that the exam room contains the proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures. Recognizes equipment limitations and malfunctions, ensures proper equipment function and inspections, and reports failures to the Manager.

  • Follows department radiation safety procedures and protections in accordance with safety standards for patients and staff. Calculates and selects proper technical factors. Processes and checks quality of images before sending to PACS.

  • Enters data into the Radiology Information System for medical records, billing, statistics, and quality assurance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in related field.

  • Formal education in an American Medical Association accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

  • Knowledge of the administration of radiologic examinations acquired through completion of an associate degree or one to three years formal training in an American medical association accredited radiologic technology program.

  • 1-2 years’ prior experience as a radiology imaging technician or diagnostic imaging specialist preferred.

  • ARRT.

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) within 90 days.

  • Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.



This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $48.99
