Responsibilities

Complete Building Services is hiring a Locksmith to join one of our educational partners in Annandale, VA.

In this role, the Locksmith installs, repairs, modifies, and opens a variety of locking mechanisms found on doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults. This person examines locking mechanism and installs new unit or disassembles unit and replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts or repairs them by filing, drilling, chiseling and grinding, opens door locks by moving lock pick in cylinder or opens safe locks by listening to lock sounds or drilling. This worker makes new or duplicate keys, using key cutting machine, changes combination by inserting new or repaired tumblers into lock, and establishes keying systems for buildings.


Qualifications
  • Must have not less than three (3) years of experience obtained within the past five (5) years as a Locksmith in a single building of comparable size, type, and complexity
  • Needs to be able to work on various door hardware, locks, closer's, push bars,and the ability to cut various keys
  • Shall have completed an apprenticeship or required training and have acceptable certification
  • Must possess an ability to meet project assignments on-time
  • Must possess an ability to work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work as required;
  • Must possess an ability to read floor plans for the purpose of navigating the facility
  • Must possess an ability to work independently, as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must possess the ability to manage and maintain a key programming/management system
