PAY RANGE - $59k - 67K

Shift - M to F 7am to 330pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Associate Buyer reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Coordinates purchasing activities with production, quality, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders and requests for quotes for to suppliers. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity. Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. Communicates with internal customers and related organizations such as Accounting, Logistics and EHS. Negotiates a price and delivery with domestic and offshore suppliers.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with an advanced working knowledge of Excel.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Purchase requisition administration.
  2. Communication with internal customers and related organizations.
  3. Business system data input.
  4. Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers.
  5. Research and development of new supply sources.
  6. Deliver a back-order report to management as requested.
  7. Ensure the timely delivery of products.
  8. Supplier inventory control.
  9. Compliance with the contracts of purchase.


Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
