Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and disinfected facility. The janitor will maintain a general upkeep of the facility and create an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the building.


Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, service, overhaul on all major production equipment
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes and mills, compressors, ovens, test stands autoclaves etc. These will include daily, weekly, monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annually, and annually PMs services.
  • Conduct reporting on all Emaint software work orders. Keep detail records of all close and complete corrective and PM related work orders
  • Complete understanding and must follow all LOTO and Arc flash policies and regulations in accordance with NFPA 70E standards.
    • Training and or certification in LOTO, Arch Flash and NFPA 70E highly desired
  • Install and move machinery and equipment when necessary, using heavy machinery and safe rigging practices
  • Diagnose operating problems and perform simple to major corrections on various types of machinery with or without assistance
  • Replace, rebuild and/or overhaul worn out or broken parts for major production machinery
  • Assist in the handling, collecting, disposing/distributing of hazardous materials
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area, and understand and follows all 6s standards
  • Fabricate machinery guarding as needed

Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and repair, with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English, follow verbal and written instructions, and read and interpret blueprints, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Must be able to understand, trouble shoot and repair high and low voltage electrical and electronic systems. 600v, 480v, 240v,120v,24v,12v,5v etc.
  • Must be able to understand, trouble shoot and repair safety systems on equipment such as light curtains, pressure pads, safety interlocks as well as having the ability to fabricate safety guards for equipment as needed
  • Must be able to troubleshoot high air pressure system, high pressure hydraulic systems and vacuum systems.
  • Must be able to understand, trouble shoot, and repair Autoclaves, Electrical ovens, Punch presses, Evaporators, Smog Hogs, Chip Extractors and HVAC units
  • Must be able to run Electrical conduit, Hydraulic low- and high-pressure lines, low and high air pressure lines as needed
  • Must be able to use and read a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and all required electrical measuring and testing devices. (Multi meters, temperature test probes, I.R scanner and data recorders)
  • Must be able to work with outside contractor, vendors, and equipment factory technical support to resolve existing equipment or facility issues.
  • Must be able to show the ability to work well in a team environment as well as alone on assigned projects or daily assignments
  • Must be able to operator forklifts, man lifts and scissors for various facility aerial task
  • Must be able to work with contractors, factory service and parts vendors to provide formal quotes for onsite service repairs or critical parts needed for equipment or facility repairs
  • Must be able to have a 6s understanding
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
