Pay Range

$37,800.00-$51,900.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality insulation, commercial roofing, and engineered products is searching for a Welder/Fabricator to join the team in Tucson, AZ.

Weekend shift: Fr-Su: 5:00AM - 4:00PM, Mon: 5:00AM-12:00PM

Job Requirements:

• Understand and use safe working practices.

• High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or a technical certificate preferred.

• Welder/Fabricator experienced with Tig & Mig equipment. TIG welding experience is required.

• Experience with brakes, shears, and other metal forming tools.

• Experience welding precious metal preferred.

• Must pass our welding test.

• Ability to read blueprints and make parts from a print.

• Familiar using calipers, tape measures, and other standard measuring equipment.

• Basic computer skills preferred.

• Ability to work different shifts.

• Positive manner of performance, team player, good written and verbal communications skills.

• Attends safety meetings and participates in scheduled safety talks.

Safety & Environmental Requirements

• Ensure completion of assigned safety training and compliance tasks.

• Ensure all JM Policies and Procedures are followed.

• Willing to work any shift required to support the needs of the business.

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods in an industrial setting.

• Must be capable of using forklifts, cranes, and have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks.

• Must have the ability to operate various hand tools including pneumatic, electrical, and manual.

• Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders throughout the workday.

• Ability to complete tasks associated with various hot works. Including the ability to wear necessary PPE to protect workers from such hot work hazards.

• Ability to wear steel-toe safety shoes for prolonged periods of time.

• Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection as required.

• Ability to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection as required.

You will work under the genera supervision of the shift supervisor, performing all machining to maximize productivity to maintain safety and quality standards. The Tucson, AZ plant is a full-service manufacturing and machining operation with highly skilled machinists and operators who specialize in high temperature alloys and proprietary parts for Johns Manville.
