YOUR PATH IN PET GROOMING:
Embark on your grooming journey as a Groomer Trainee! As an initial level apprentice in our grooming lounge, you will foster personal bonds with your patrons, becoming an integral part of their journey. You will familiarize yourself with every pet’s unique style and personality, curating an exclusive and fashionable experience for each one. From the first shampoo to their confident march home, take pride in the premium services you provide!
BLOSSOMING INTO EXCELLENCE:
Nurture your passion through our robust training program. Petsmart provides a tutorial pathway that prepares you aptly for future success.
- Stage 1: Bather: Dive headfirst into an immersive learning experience by dealing with our collection of adorable pets. They become our family while they are under our care, thus attaining safety certification is pivotal. Under the guidance of the salon leader, you will begin your profession as a bather, getting introduced to diverse dog breeds and their corresponding grooming styles. Your responsibilities will include making the pets comfortable in our salon, bathing them, clipping their nails, and providing support to other groomers throughout the pets’ stay.
- Stage 2: Grooming Academy: After accruing adequate experience (it’s time to proudly put on that smock!), you will participate in our Grooming Academy. Four enriching weeks in a structured academic environment, under the guidance of our experienced trainers, will provide you with a deeper understanding of breed styling and caring for various dog breeds. You will also get acquainted with grooming tools and clippers. As a bonus, upon graduation, you will receive a complimentary tool kit worth over $600!
- Stage 3: Groomer Trainee: With your new education and shiny tool kit, you will return to our salon to apply what you have learned. Under the leadership and guidance of experienced groomers, you will begin grooming a wide array of breeds and sizes of dogs. With a benchmark of grooming 200 dogs, we ensure you receive extensive and diverse experience.
- Stage 4: Pet Stylist in Training: This is your opportunity to finesse your skills. You will establish relationships with your clients, suggest suitable styles, offer new services and partake in the joy of owners collecting their neatly groomed pets. Owning a complimentary tool kit is fantastic, but this step provides an incomparable experience.
