If your traveler has worked for any Providence affiliated facility as a perm staff – they must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel contract. Swedish honors compact licenses
REQUIRED 2-3 years telemetry experience; optional- VAD, TAVR experience. Screen if strong 2 yrs experience with all requirements
Manager would like to see travelers with stronger OHS experience
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Documentation System: EPIC (REQUIRED, HARDSTOP)
- Communication: SBAR
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
- Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Unit, myocardial infarction, rule out MI, Primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients, vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab with or without interventions, stroke patients with cardiac involvement
SPECIAL PROCEDURES:
- Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPap, Trach Care
2-3 years telemetry experience required; optional - VAD, TAVR experience
Manager prefers travelers with stronger OHS experience
Required to use Pyxis medication system and EPIC documentation system
REQUIRED skillset: Surgical telemetry experience including open-heart surgery and vascular (groin) radial band management, IV skills, ACLS, BCLS, NIH, 2-3 years telemetry experience; optional - sheath pull experience
Work settings include M/S / Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry
Essential skills include management of dysrhythmias and emergency response, cardiovascular care, gastrointestinal care, genitourinary/renal care, IV therapy and phlebotomy, administration of various medications, and post-surgical care involving drains and plastics
Ability to work in a staffing ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
Willingness to float and wear navy scrubs as required

Unit: Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Unit
Patient Diagnoses include myocardial infarction, rule out MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients
Special Procedures include breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPap, and trach care
Experience with heparin, insulin, and stable drips is required
