  • Common types of imaging & Job Duties: All IR procedures- service neuro IR, vascular, and neuro surgeons. Will be scrubbing in and circulating. Will be on the call team.
  • Average # of scans/studies per day: Varies from 10-20 cases per day in addition to strokes. Stroke cases vary could be 1-4 per week. Have 2 IR techs per room.
  • Experience: Require at least 1 year, prefer travel experience, and prefer stroke receiving facility experience.

  • Department specific orientation: Travelers will get assigned a preceptor for their 1st week.
    Job Requirements
  • BLS, Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Verification
  • Washington state license, IV cert preferred
  • Require at least 1 year of experience, prefer travel experience, and prefer stroke receiving facility experience.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 4-10s rotate their day off. Shifts start at 7a-5:30p or 7:30a to 6p.
  • Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1-2 days per week. Weeknight call is 6p-7a.
  • Weekend/Call Requirements: 1 weekend call per month- have a group of 9 that take call. Call starts on Fri at 6p till Mon at 7am.
  • Holiday/Call Requirement: If holiday lands on scheduled shift or scheduled call shift you work it. Do get holiday pay.
  • Call or Standby requirement: 30 minutes response time.
    Unit Specific Information
  • How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 3 rooms- 2 biplane, 1 single plane Always keep 1 room open for strokes. Hybrid in OR- some run a CT/IR scanner.
  • Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Hybrid OR - not a deal breaker if they do not have this experience.
  • Do they use RRAs: No- because they have residents.
  • Do they have to start IV's?: No- IR RNs will do.
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are provided.
