Purpose:

As the Product Management Director for AI-Based Emergency Service Telephony Software, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of our AI-driven telephony software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, to ensure that our products meet customer needs, align with market trends, and achieve business goals. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, market understanding, and strategic thinking to deliver innovative and competitive products.


Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for AI-based 911 telephony software.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and market opportunities.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to translate product vision into detailed requirements and specifications.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, including beta testing, feedback gathering, and iterative improvements.
  • Monitor product performance, user feedback, and key metrics to inform ongoing product optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with customer support and success teams to ensure product adoption, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive product success.

Customer and Market Engagement:

  • Engage with customers, industry experts, and partners to gather insights and validate product concepts.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for features and solutions that address user needs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to ensure our products remain market leaders.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to product teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Skills:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, telephony systems, and software development processes.
  • Experience with product management tools to produce Business Plans for executive review.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques to derive insights and inform product decisions.

Leadership and Management:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing team members.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Market Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the 911 telephony industry, including trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.


Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, particularly in AI, 911 telephony, or software products.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Technical Background:

  • Experience with AI technologies and 911 telephony systems.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes.

Leadership Experience:

  • Previous experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams toward achieving product goals.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term product roadmaps.
  • Experience in translating business objectives into actionable product strategies.
