Job Details
The Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) uses clinical experience and knowledge to facilitate complete and specific clinical documentation in the medical record.
This involves extensive record review, interaction with physicians, allied health professionals, health information management professionals, and nursing staff.
A concurrent review process is used to promote optimized severity of illness and quality in the medical record.
The process involves MS-DRG classification and may include APR-DRG classification and Quality Data elements.
Job Requirements
CA RN Licensure
At least 2 years of CDI experience in a complex acute care setting.
Schedule Information
5x8 M-F Days, start times from 0700-8:30
Additional Details
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, and other certifications may have specific requirements - please verify with the facility.
Certain certifications like IV Certification and State License Verification may be required depending on the position.
Physical Exam, Fit Mask Test, and other health documents may be stipulated.
