Job Description:

We are looking for a Computational Biologist/Physicist with experience in scientific research, analysis and/or engineering.

Skills needed are:

  • Demonstrate experience in Finite-Element Analysis/Method

  • Experience coding in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, FORTRAN, MATLAB, and/or related languages

  • Experience working in a *nix-based environment

  • Demonstrate knowledge of algorithms/methods used in FEM

  • Demonstrate experience in performing sensitivity analysis

  • Demonstrate experience in communicating research results [read: presentations, publications?]

  • Demonstrate experience in solving multi-physics problems and solutions

  • Experience with modeling at the cellular level would also complement us

  • Demonstrate experience in Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Biomechanics, Radio Frequency

  • Demonstrate knowledge of computational techniques in electromagnetism, mechanics, and/or thermodynamics

  • Demonstrate knowledge of deep learning methods / Experience in deep learning methods in computational biology

Qualifications:

  • U.S Citizenship required

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one required

  • Masters/PhD equivalent degree in biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, electrical engineering, numerical analysis, and/or related fields

  • 1-2 years relevant laboratory experience in academic or industrial setting.

  • Must be a highly motivated, well organized, and independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and great attention to detail.

  • Must be comfortable working in a highly innovative and fast-pace environment and have a strong ability to cope with change.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
