Processing Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all required training and associated documentation for the department is completed as assigned. Working collaboratively with Clinical Operations, the Staff Develpment coordinator is responsible for registration, logistics, material preparation, reporting and communications for all assigned training programs. The Staff Development Coordinator actively participates in the training of the student interns and new employees, maintaining competency in all core sterile processing functions is required. Required Level: High School Diploma/GED Preferred Level: Associates Degree Required License/Certification: CRCST or CBSPD Preferred License/Certification: CER or CIS Type of Experience: Direct experience performing all sterile processing functions within an operative setting. Experience in project management, training or liaison function. Experience gained in a large academic Medical Center or Trauma Center. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent organization, operations, people management, and problem solving skills are essential. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand medical terminology in order to follow written instructions and complete various forms and records regarding equipment processing and preparation of equipment. Existing knowledge of EPIC, HealthStream, and SPM
