  • Mercy Health in Saint Louis, Missouri is currently seeking a Registered Nurse for their facility.
  • This position is in the Inpatient Med Surg unit at Mercy Hospital South.
  • The position is structured as a Travel Nurse assignment.
  • This is a Night Shift position, requiring the nurse to work from 1900 to 0730.
  • The assignment is for 13 weeks.
    Job Requirements
  • Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Med Surg, inpatient only.
  • BLS certification required from AHA only.
  • ACLS certification from AHA preferred.
  • Must be willing to float to other units depending on staffing needs.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts are during the Nights, from 1900 to 0730.
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 - must be indicated on the submission form.
  • Weekend Hours are required by the facility, every other weekend.
  • No Call Requirements specified.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Inpatient Med Surg East Unit.
  • Number of Beds: 15 currently, with an additional 15 beds under construction.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights. No guaranteed ratios.
  • Equipment includes Nova Meters, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine.
  • EMR system in use is EPIC.
    Additional Details
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
  • Maintains professional accountability and coordinates patient care across departments.
  • Observes patient rights and ensures confidentiality of patient information.
  • Promotes a team player attitude and provides care to a diverse population.
  • Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments.
  • Stand and walk most of the time on duty with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning.
