Schedule:

  • 2- 12hr shifts (24 hrs/wk)
    • 1900 - 0730 (Nights)
  • Weekend Requirement
    • Select 4 individual shifts in 6 weeks
      • Nights - choose from Sat & Sun
  • Holiday Requirement (1 on, 1 off)
    • Major/Minor Rotation

Education Assistance:

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred Experience: 1 yr LPN exprience
  • Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
  • Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
    • LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire

Oncology:

Oncology is a 41-bed unit dedicated to providing personable, innovative, and compassionate care to all our patients, including those with new or complicated cancer diagnoses and hematological disorders. Our team works most closely with Mercy Hospitalists, Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Palliative Care, Hospice, and Chaplains. Nurses within the Oncology unit have an opportunity to grow in skills such as:

    • Central lines
    • Wound care
    • Ostomy care
    • IV therapy
    • Corpaks, G-Tubes, NG tubes
    • And more

Patient Population:

  • New or current complex cancer diagnoses
  • Inpatient chemotherapy administration
  • Patients transitioning to end of life care
  • Hematologic disorders, such as sickle cell
  • Medical surgical diagnoses, such as diabetes, wound management, respiratory failure, acute kidney injury, and more!
