Monitors and implements new health care services and performance improvement initiatives.
Performs specific job responsibilities:

  • Leads other Support staff to implement, train and document policies reflective of the Carilion Clinic goals. Develop and maintain operating training manuals and programs.
  • Train new and existing employees on Carilion Clinic policies related to revenue cycle practice operations.
  • Conduct regular performance audits of staff and measure against defined metrics. Trend results and provide additional training as deemed necessary.
  • Evaluates and addresses staffing responsibilities, needs and performance.
  • Maintains competence through continuing education, in-services, and attends staff meetings. Performs other tasks related to the front office workflow and participates in special department projects as assigned.
  • Proactively identifies and implements cost containment initiatives.
  • Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians, other members of the management team and pre- and post-hospital providers.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of clinical information system(s) for patient scheduling, registration, charge entry and reporting functions.

What We Require:


Education: Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in healthcare. Prior experience in a physician office/medical office required. 3 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective analytical, oral and written communication skills. Must be customer driven, a team player with initiative, organizational skills, analytical abilities, detail oriented, and the ability to work independently. Must be able to travel to multiple locations. Must be able to work flexible hours. Maintains working knowledge of Vision, Logician, and any other software that are needed to perform job duties. Must be proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point.
