How you will contribute to LifeNet Healths success:

The Manager, Clinical Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of all clinical staff and their daily responsibilities. Guides donor management to maximize transplant outcomes. Responsible for ensuring that all clinical staff are proficient in their individual job functions and that all procurement activities comply with LifeNet Health policies and regulatory standards. As a clinical services team member, participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for the overall success of the team in achieving departmental goals. Performs job in a manner that exemplifies the mission, attributes, and values of LifeNet Health on a continuous basis.

What youll do:

  • Clinical Expertises and Guidance: Clinically evaluates potential organ donors. Provides clinical guidance in donor management of active donor cases. These skills are, but not limited to, ventilator management, correction of electrolyte imbalance, cardiac management. Able to identify the sequelae of brain death and effectively guide staff. Ensure brain death testing complies with hospital policy and state law. Ensures allocation of organs occurs within the policies set forth by UNOS.Assigns work and evaluate performance of individual staff to ensure that employee performance is optimized.
  • Decision Making: Plans and dispatches staff to ensure coverage of donor activity within the DSA. Coordinates with other departments to set OR times.
  • People Leadership: Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their teams level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.

What youll bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelors Degree healthcare or related field
  • Valid Registered Nurse and State Drivers License
  • Three (3) years critical care experience was a RN in either Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Thoracic, Cardiovascular, Cardiac, Pediatric, or ER
  • Three (3) years management of staff experience to include supervisory, team lead, or charge nurse experience
  • Three (3) years related OPO experience
  • Preferred
    • Bachelors Degree - Nursing
    • Five (5) years management of staff experience to include supervisory, team lead, or charge nurse experience
    • Five (5) years related OPO experience
    • These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
      • Business Acumen: Strong familiarity with hospital and hospital policies, procedures and practices
      • Commuication: Written, verbal and presentation; ability to engage, inspire and influence people; Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex policies and procedures
      • Relationship Management: Builds and sustains partnerships across organizational boundaries and functions as well as outside the organization to achieve common goals and outcomes; Ability to build internal and external relationships with staff, hospital and other leaders. Ability to be an active listener to determine needs and actions in appropriate decision making
      • Donor Management: Knowledge of donor management procedures
      • Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Suite
      • People Development: Actively engages in talent management practices (selection, promotion, development and engagement) to cultivate a workforce that is well aligned with current and emerging talent needs
      • Leadership: Must be able to lead a team to execute tasks and achieve departmental goals and business objectives; demonostrated ability to lead, manage, and train a team of healthcare professionals (preferred)
      • Time Management: Ability to use time in an effective and productive manner with ability to work under pressure with tight timelines, make critical decision and maintain a sense of focus and urgency
      • Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to successfully gather and evaluate pertinent information to draw conclusions and identify potential trends
      • Organizational Skills: Abiity to plan, implement and monitor assignments effectively to meet the needs of the business
      • Decision Making: Must be able to make independent decisions regarding case related activity

      • Salary: $98,339 - $131,119/annually

        The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidates qualifications and prior relevant experience. Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
