This position will require working at both Meridian Park Medical Center in Tualatin and the Legacy System Office in NW Portland.


Responsibilities

The Transportation Center Supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of the 24-hour / 7-day a week operation of the Central Transportation team. Under general supervision, assists in managing the daily operations of discharge and transfer transportation functions. Serves as a role model and resource for staff. Provides leadership and promotes team building among staff. Responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Supports and models Legacy’s Values in Action. The supervisor has responsibility for facilitating communication and collaboration with staff, other departments, management, and customers in problem solving and project management. Represents Transportation team at leadership meetings, and may be asked to fill shifts on schedule when necessary.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, behavioral health, social services or a related field or the equivalent professional experience required.

Experience:

  • Three years of work experience with at least one-year experience required in one of the following areas:
  • Care Management
  • Transportation
  • Hospital Operations
  • One year of supervisor or lead experience in a hospital operational setting preferred.

Skill Requirement:

  • Broad knowledge of transportation logistics and the ability to apply them.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to deal effectively with complex situations.
  • Skilled at working with community organizations to access resources for patients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to build and facilitate teams, embrace change, ability to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organization skills and oral/written communication skills for effective interaction with staff members, providers and department leadership.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
  • Working knowledge of Epic medical record.
  • General understanding of all Microsoft applications.
