Opportunity

This role is a new position within theorganization. Join us for an opportunity to build a new process critical to thelong-term business strategy. We are looking for a creative process engineerwanting to grow their career within manufacturing and distribution. This is agrowth role and a chance to lead a new, impactful, project. This opportunitywill provide exposure to many facets of the organization.

Under the leadershipof the Director of Operations, the Process Engineer-Distribution will beresponsible for learning production processes in assigned areas, and thecompletion of productivity, continuous improvement, and cost reduction projectsin support of the business unit. Responsibilities will also includeimplementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, introduction of new products,sustaining product support, and execution of capital projects within thefactory.

Specific Requirements

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, develop and refine new and existing manufacturing processes/technology to improve capability and opportunities. Run projects from inception to completion, presenting regular updates to management and peers.
  • This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of capacity modeling, statistical process control, and new manufacturing processes critical to business strategy. The end product will flow into an SIOP process.
  • Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts to constantly improve the process and lower costs by researching, investigating, developing, and implementing new or improved manufacturing processes and technology. Actively seek updated knowledge of the engineering profession, the industry, and application of new technologies.
  • Provide technical support and monitor processes in the manufacturing process. Analyze operations and sequence of operations to assure full utilization and maximum quality from processes.
  • Evaluate capacity requirements to ensure production capability of manufacturing new products and/or volume changes to current products.
  • Working closely with New Product Development, Marketing, Sales and the production associates, the Process Engineer will coordinate introductions of new products into production, establishing production routings for all new products.
  • Monitor production results. This involves working closely with operators, process leads, team leads, and supervisors to ensure production problems are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Communicate and interact effectively, both oral and written, with manufacturing personnel and supervision, business management, customers and vendors as part of a team-based organization.
  • Monitor new technology advancements and the possible application within the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct other special studies and projects under the direction of the Director of Operations.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree inEngineering, or a combination of equivalent training, education, and experiencewould be acceptable.
  • Experience in manufacturing /production setting is a benefit.
  • Physical ability to perform avariety of tasks that include frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, andlifting in a production factory environment. (With or without accommodation).
  • Ability to follow all safetyrequirements and support safety culture within the plant.

The salary range for this position is $73,400 - $92,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
