Overview
  • Work on research experiments relating to the Cell Fusion/cyclic immunostaining project as assigned by Drs. Melissa Wong and Summer Gibbs. These studies will include a variety of technical approaches including: cell culture, cell imaging, immunohistochemical, tissue scanning and evaluation, antibody validation, computational analyses.

  • Sample collection and processing. Interaction with clinical staff to facilitate identification and collection of samples. Possible consenting of patients onto IRB approved protocol.

  • Perform data analyses and entry and maintain data files on research projects utilizing various platforms (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, RedCap, caTissue, ClinPortal, and others).

  • Attendance and presentation at lab meetings, contributions to publications as requested (writing, figures, data), contributions to applications for funding as requested (writing, figures, data).


Responsibilities
  • Ph.D. in relevant field & previous laboratory experience

  • Cell culture, molecular imaging, fluorescence microscopy, immunostaining

  • Macroscopic imaging, cell culture, fluorescence microscopy


Qualifications
  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology or similar discipline
