Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept | The Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education (OCCD) provides leadership in the development and operation of integrated and statewide professional development standards and systems. OCCD promotes professional development to achieve high quality care and education for children and youth, and creates and supports training and education : https://www.pdx.edu/education-career-development/ THE FOCUS Positive growth through professional development THE WORK OF THE CENTER Provide leadership in the development and operation of integrated and statewide professional development standards and systems. Promote professional development to achieve high quality care and education for children and youth. Create and support training and education. THE ACTIVITIES Developing Professional Systems. Setting Professional Standards. Providing Professional Support. Programs OCCD receives funding from the Oregon Child Care Division, the Department of Human Services, and the Oregon Community Foundation to administer statewide programs as part of an infrastructure plan to encourage and increase comprehensive professional development. Programs are designed to support Oregon’s early education and school-age care professionals and to increase professionalism. Professional Development Planning An intentional course of action that responds to professional interests, desire to grow in the field, and the changing demands of work. Child development outcomes are positively impacted by early childhood professionals who participate in quality professional development. A Professional Development Plan prepares professionals to support program quality, access scholarships, and engage in training that meets unique needs. |

Position Summary | The purpose of this job/position is to provide specific data and record keeping support for the staff and participants of the programs of OCCD including the Data Entry & File System. This is a limited duration position ending on 6/30/25. The position may be renewed, subject to available funding. |
Minimum Qualifications from Classification | Completion of courses or training in Office Technology; OR One year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting salary rate for this position will be between and $16.60 and $17.80 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
