Overview
  • Performs building and equipment maintenance to include replacement of light bulbs, carpentry, painting, plumbing or other related needs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment and animal caging. Routine maintenance and trouble shooting of vacuum bedding system, greasing and changing wheels on carts and racks, adjusting individually ventilated cage systems and automatic watering systems as well as other equipment as necessary.
  • Operates rack washers, tunnel washers, autoclaves, bottle washers, sterilizing equipment and Crematory. Cleans, sanitizes and sterilizes caging & equipment.
  • Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to HVAC system and other equipment. Changing of ventilated rack filters, water filters and HVAC filters.

Responsibilities
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of facilities maintenance or trades related experience; or successful completion of a Facilities Maintenance technical training program.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as cage washers, pallet jacks, forklifts and autoclaves.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Posses and maintains a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications
  • Crematory certification
