Overview

This is a hybrid role that is highly consultative and has regular meetings at a variety of Legacy locations across the Portland Metro area. On days that onsite activity is not scheduled, individuals in this role may work from remotely.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

The Coordinator, Independent Physician Program, is accountable for direct coordination and supervision of physician arrangements with independent medical staff under contract to Legacy Health, under the overall direction of the Department Manager. The Coordinator exercises discretionary judgment in solving problems and provides leadership in a highly functional, compliant program of independent medical staff arrangements. The Coordinator organizes specified activities and process oversight for the value stream for engaging independent physicians in a contractual arrangement with Legacy Health. These include supporting the approval process of an independent physician arrangement, facilitating the flow of contract execution, establishing the correct payment mechanisms, and overseeing and using Legacy’s payment automation. Supports the Independent Physician Council comprised of Legacy senior vice presidents. Manages the non-clinical payment process using administrative and technology systems (e.g., Dynafios); provides user support and training; escalates issues to IS and the vendor. Ensures Legacy’s independent physician arrangements are carried out in accordance with national, state, and local regulatory agencies’ rules and authorities; Legacy policies; and Medical Staff governance documents.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.

Experience:

Minimum five years’ experience in medical services profession, physician arrangements, or relevant healthcare experience.
