Job Summary


Cook: As a Cook, your primary responsibility is the preparation and serving of food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets as per the facility menus. You will also assist in ensuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed. In the absence of the Dining Services Director, you will support the Dietary Aide and direct other employees as needed.

Qualifications 

Ideal candidates will portray a positive attitude and the capability to follow oral and written instructions. After undergoing appropriate training, utilizing leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities without supervision is necessary. Some of the qualifications we are looking for include:

- A high school diploma or equivalent; experience in food preparation is preferred. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required based on State/County law.
- Compliance with our COVID-19 Vaccination Policies.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. 
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
- Comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
