Overview

We are seeking a Spanish/English bilingual-bicultural research assistant to join the Listos research team which is conducting an implementation study with preschool children and their parents to promote early math via a bilingual clinical checklist developed with families. The research assistant will be responsible for development and Spanish translation of study materials, scheduling/organizing project meetings, coordination across study sites, organizing recruitment efforts, interfacing with study subjects, completing pre/post assessments of children and parents, conducting interviews with providers, and preparing data for analysis.

We are seeking a candidate with prior educational or work experience in early education, primary care, child development, or health disparities. Prior work experience with underserved communities is particularly desirable. Skills in survey research or basic data analysis using statistical software are helpful but not required.


Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's in relevant field OR Associate's AND 2 years of relevant experience OR 3 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Bilingual. Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Prior experience with research project management.
  • Experience in child development, health services research, survey research, qualitative research, statistical programming, the WIC program, and/or community-based interventions
  • Prior educational or work experience in the area of autism, early education, primary care, child development, or health disparities.
  • Prior work experience with underserved communities is particularly desirable.
  • Skills in survey research or basic data analysis using statistical software are helpful.
