DESCRIPTOIN:

The Anodization Line Technician is responsible to perform anodizing to specific requirements of the specifications, work instructions, and router instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain the Anodize line as needed to produce quality products.
  • Perform Final post anodize inspection of products.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance (PM’s) and chemical add per training and instructions.
  • Verifies tank tests/analysis logs have been completed and documented, when required.
  • Verifies the tanks specified on the work order contains the solutions/chemicals required and are in operational condition.
  • Verifies processing tank parameters (temperature, agitation, etc.) are adherent to the parameters noted on the tank placards as well as the customer’s purchase order.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Only perform operations you have been trained on
  • Match Traveler to Part Type, Job#, and Serial #.
  • Confirm Parts have previous operations sign-off.
  • Perform basic and detailed visual inspection of parts before processing.
  • Follow router and all pertaining work instructions.
  • Perform basic visual inspection of parts after processing.
  • Sign off traveler and report jobs in vantage.
  • Assist another operator in buddy check sign-off.
  • Follow proper parts handling and transporting procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to use precision measuring tools, fixtures, and appropriate gaging.
  • Working knowledge of various masking and appropriate applications (tapes, maskants, plugs, fixtures, racks, wire).
  • Basic knowledge of tank chemistry and tank make-ups and dump requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of plating processes (volts, amps, times, temperatures, and materials).
  • Working knowledge of WWT system, boiler, scrubbers, hoist, analyzer, and recipe system preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in writing or orally.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details of various processes.
  • Ability to perform daily tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Strong reasoning skills. Able to understand and assess basic situations relating to Anodize line and act or get appropriate personnel involved.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

  • Standing for long periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear instructions.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to differentiate shades and color to identify defects.
  • Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading dial and digital gages, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of operations.
  • Ability to handle delicate parts.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

  • High noise levels from operating machines.

  • Working with chemicals.
