At Honeywell's OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) facility, we are inviting applications for the role of Machinist Level II. You will be responsible for proficiently operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art machining equipment, manufacturing top-notch parts and components tailored for the aerospace sector. Your knowledge in the field of machining coupled with your keen attention to detail will play a crucial role in affirming the steady success of our engine OEM operations.

You will be taking your instructions directly from the Machining Supervisor at our on-site facility. In this capacity, you will influence the efficiency and productivity of our Engines OEM unit by operating our machining equipment, maintaining the same, and meeting the rigorous quality benchmarks and client needs which are a constant in the aviation sector.

KEY TASKS
The key duties assigned to you will involve:

- Setting up and operating the Balance to execute machining operations as per the defined specifications.
- Monitoring machine performance and effecting necessary adjustments to ensure premium quality and efficiency.
- Checking the finished parts for conformity to the stringent quality norms and standards special to the aviation industry.
- Engaging constructively with teams from various departments to streamline processes.
- Following all safety measures and protocols to ensure a safe work atmosphere.

CRITERIA FOR U.S. PERSONS

Applicants should be U.S. persons to be considered for the job role as per the rules and regulations laid down by U.S. export control laws. A U.S. person, in this context, means a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident of the U.S., or an individual with a protected status in the U.S. under refugee or asylum status.

REQUIREMENTS

- A high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings specific to aviation components.
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED SKILLS


- A technical certification or an associate degree in machining or a related field
- Experience in programming and editing CNC programs for aircraft components
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in aviation repair and overhaul
- Team player with effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry or FAA Repair and overhaul environment
- An A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant License) will add value
- Experience with SAP ERP systems will be a plus
