RES is looking for a Systems Administrator with 3-5 years of experience based out of one of our office locations in Orlando, FL, Athens, GA, Lafayette, LA, or Raleigh, NC.
The Mission:
The Systems Administrator will maintain and support IT infrastructure and systems including, but not limited to cloud services, routers, switches, access points, servers, and workstations. The position will take on IT projects in a solo or collaborative manner. The administrator will also provide friendly, responsive, and effective technology customer service experience for internal employees as needed.
You will collaborate with other seasoned IT professionals within RES as you work in a small, but mighty - geographically distributed technology team. We’re looking for a teammate who will bring reliability, skill, confidence, and experience, but will also want to collaborate, absorb, learn, and grow.
What your day-to-day might look like?
50% of your time will be allocated to systems administration tasks, including: patch management, firmware and driver updates for servers and network infrastructure, provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, managing virtual infrastructure and server upgrades.
40% of your time will be handling tickets that can range from preparing systems for new employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and guiding users through ‘how to’ questions.
10% of your time will be dedicated to improvement by ensuring that IT systems are documented properly, equipment is organized, and refining policies and procedures.
