Position Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Administrative Assistant for Asphalt and Paving Operations is responsible for organizing and maintaining QC documents, tracking and recording daily test results, and ensuring accurate communication between divisions regarding any necessary edits or revisions to QC reports. This role is crucial in receiving daily test results from roadway technicians—such as straightedge, cross slope, densities, etc.—inputting them into FDOT templates, and effectively communicating with all relevant parties. The position also includes the responsibility of keeping track of documentation and maintaining an organized archive.


Responsibilities:

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
  • Provide general administrative support to the QC department.
  • Organize, maintain, and update QC documents and records, including an organized archive system.
  • Track and record all daily test results related to asphalt and paving operations, such as straightedge, cross slope, densities, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with different divisions to facilitate edits or revisions to QC reports.
  • Receive and accurately input test results from roadway technicians into FDOT templates.
  • Ensure timely communication of QC results and reports to all interested parties.
  • Assist in the preparation of QC-related correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations, which may require gathering data from various internal and/or external sources.
  • Proofread content for accuracy and established formatting standards.
  • Copy, scan, and distribute QC documents as needed.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the corporation, or as otherwise directed.
  • Meet regularly with the QC Manager to review ongoing tasks and priorities.



Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Office 365 productivity suite.
  • Experience with FDOT templates and requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam software preferred.
