Must be a certified RN with ability to work in Med/Tele Oncology
Common diagnosis / Types of patients include Oncology and Trauma
RN's are required to titrate drips
Chemotherapy occasionally administered, RNs working with chemo need chemo certification, but it's not required for floor work
Floating Requirements: Float to same level of care
Schedule Information
Shifts 0630-1900, 1830-0700
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Negotiated
Self-scheduling and block scheduling may be discussed
Two 12-hour shifts of unit/department specific orientation
Unit Specific Information
# of Beds: 28
Nurse-Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:5
Charge Nurse presence on each shift and whether they take an assignment
Nurse aids/patient care techs presence and duties: Yes- 1:10 ratio
Additional Details
RN's should have some tele awareness
Tele techs will interpret, RNs are not solely responsible for tele monitoring
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
Successful nurse attributes: not afraid to ask questions, being kind, and teamwork
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be currently employed in any capacity with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
