    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
  • Self scheduling, can accommodate most schedule requests
  • Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend, but could be up to every other based on unit need
  • Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
  • Floating Requirements: Will float to Postpartum, occasional float to the house to be a 'sitter'
    Unit Specific Information
  • # of L&D Beds: 16 labor rooms and 9 antepartum rooms
  • # of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 3
  • # of Triage beds: 7 bed triage unit where they assess patients who are greater than 20 weeks with pregnancy complaints
  • # of Postpartum beds: 36
  • # of Births per day? Month? Year?: Up to 400 per month
  • Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1-2 labors, 1:2-3 antepartum
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: High-risk OB and routine obstetric care
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, pain meds
  • Charge Nurse: Charge on Both Shifts
  • Nurse aids/surgical techs duties: 2 OBTs per shift
  • OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7: 3 residents and 1 supervising MD on the floor at all times
  • Anesthesia in house 24/7: CRNAs on the unit 24/7
  • RT Equipment: Nasal cannula
  • Tele/Monitor Techs: Tele in recovery after a c-section, RNs responsible for reading their own strips
  • EFM System: Obix
  • Scrub Color/Dress code: Surgical scrubs provided
  • Orientation: 2-3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation
    Additional Details
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
