The role of the Sales Merchandiser is crucial in implementing Anderson Merchandisers' standards to drive sales and meet retailer and client expectations. This position works under the guidance of the Market Sales Manager, but regular communication and follow-up are expected with the Territory Sales Lead.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Developing a strong working relationship with store associates and management through regular communication
- Educating customers and store employees about the features and benefits of our client’s brands and product lines
- Accurately executing all the required tasks, projects, resets, and displays by abiding by all provided instructions
- Upholding high-quality work to satisfy or surpass client expectations
- Ensuring the merchandising and execution of all allocated projects are done with the necessary quality and accuracy, maintaining account aesthetics and facilitating above-average project execution compliance consistently
- Being well-versed in all company policies
- Reporting to the Territory Sales Lead regarding all daily activities, potential sales opportunities, specific requests, needs, and potential barriers. Making the Territory Sales Lead and Market Sales Manager aware of potential roadblocks or opportunities.
- Detailed knowledge and consistent usage of all functions of the handheld device
- Maintaining client, retailer and company confidentiality
Qualifications
The qualifications and requirements encompass:
- The ability to lift products up to 50 lbs frequently, carry objects/products up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs with assistance from another associate
- The work may involve sitting, standing or walking and fine manipulation of hands and/or fingers, bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing, along with mobility of the upper and lower body
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, and weekends
- High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary
- A valid driver's license as there may be a need for travel to additional locations
- Maintenance of automobile liability insurance is necessary
- Having access to a computer with internet and printing capabilities, and an email address is necessary
- Prior experience in customer service or sales is preferred
Pay rate is $16.50/hour
