SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

The Opportunity

RDA Consulting is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication and technical skills to support the Business Development and Operations teams as a Business Development Associate (BDA). The role involves efficiently managing multiple detailed projects with minimal errors, collaborating with multidisciplinary consulting teams, utilizing strong writing and marketing skills to promote RDA's impacts, and winning public-sector contracts. Responsibilities also include supporting the search for requests for proposals (RFPs), developing and copyediting content, and high-level administrative support. The ideal candidate should be able to foster a positive work culture and be a self-directed quick learner while understanding the discretion required for the position. The BDA position is a mid-level position that can lead to other employment opportunities in administration, operations, or business development.

About the Position

  • Provide support to the Business Development and Operations teams
  • Support contract review and execution, monthly invoicing, and client folder set-up
  • Update and maintain internal customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Develop and provide pipeline reports on a regular basis
  • Maintain and manage existing file folder structure
  • Develop and maintain operations and process documentation
  • Conduct research and data entry tasks as needed
  • Use project management systems to support the effectiveness of the teams
  • Support HR with scheduling and other administrative-type tasks
  • Review request for proposals (RFPs) daily and forward potential opportunities to leadership team
  • Support the completion of forms and compilation of the business proposals, including creating table of contents and simple graphics such as tables and charts
  • Pick up and drop off RFP’s meeting strict and variable deadlines
  • Accurately store business development content and other resources in specific folders on the shared drive
  • Promote marketing campaigns on LinkedIn and other social media platform
  • Make website content updates using WordPress

About You - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to engage in bi-directional feedback and demonstrate the ability to be responsive to feedback
  • High fluency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Monday.com, Zoom, WordPress, Adobe Suite, and CRMs
  • Excellent organization skills, work habits, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to learn new software applications as needed
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with a growth mindset, incorporating feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in being a quick learner and self-directed team player
  • Experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse communities
  • Honed time management skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Commitment to social and economic justice

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective, efficient, and positive team member
  • Experience being self-directed
  • Demonstrated organization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills rapidly
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to commute into RDA Consulting’s Oakland office at a minimum of 1 day a week

WORK LOCATION OF THIS POSITION
RDA Consulting is a hybrid office environment in which many roles provide the option to work at our Oakland, CA headquarters or to work remotely. The decision to allow remote work is based on the requirements of each individual position. If a non-Bay Area candidate is selected for this position, they must be willing to travel and attend meetings in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone as needed to support client and organizational goals.
