Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to the join Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls (SEC) - Mechanical Solution Team located in North Wales, PA. This person will demonstrate the ability to be the engineering lead from initial concept design through production transition for engineered mechanical products such as cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods and remote operated valves.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering leadership to the North Wales, PA Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls (SEC) - Mechanical Solution Team including the responsibly for supervision and assigning engineering resources.
  • Identify process and product improvements including root cause and corrective action investigations for new products and legacy products and implement changes.
  • Oversees non-conforming material handling and engineering disposition of material (MRB).
  • Reviews customer contracts and purchase orders and plans for all required engineering activities that are needed.
  • Provide oversight of mechanical engineering activities including Design, Configuration Management and Test.
  • Prepare component specifications, design inputs and engineering reports
  • Assist management tracking schedule and budget commitments.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required, MSME preferred.
  • 8 – 12 years of related experience preferred. Relevant experience includes working with cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods and remote operated valves, aerospace systems or similar mechanical products.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
  • Able to read and understand complex mechanical detail parts and assembly drawings.
  • Operation management or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience working in and leading product development teams.
  • Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Hands-on mechanical product assembly, inspection and/or testing experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
