Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer, Project Mgmt 4 to the join Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls (SEC) - Mechanical Solution Team located in North Wales, PA. This person will demonstrate the ability to be the engineering lead from initial concept design through production transition for engineered mechanical products such as cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods and remote operated valves.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering project leadership to the North Wales, PA Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls (SEC) - Mechanical Solution Team.
  • Provide oversight of mechanical engineering activities including Design, Configuration Management and Test.
  • Prepare proposal responses and lead proposal team in response to customer requests for quotations (RFQ's).
  • Review customer contracts and purchase orders for required engineering activities.
  • Effectively lead the integrated product team in the development of new products.
  • Communicate with the customer on technical and project related topics
  • Prepare component documentation including drawings, specifications, test plans, and test reports.
  • Review/monitor schedule and budget commitments relative to assigned projects and communicate risks to management
  • Support Operations in ensuring that engineered product meets financial objectives.
  • Identify process and product improvements (new products and legacy products) and implement changes.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required, MSME preferred.
  • 8 – 12 years of related experience preferred. Relevant experience includes working with cable controls, cockpit controls, latches, hold open rods and remote operated valves, aerospace systems or similar mechanical products.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
  • Able to read and understand complex mechanical detail parts and assembly drawings.
  • Operation management or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience working in and leading product development teams.
  • Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Hands-on mechanical product assembly, inspection and/or testing experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
