Job Description:
The primary role of an Auto Body Technician at Gerber is delivering stellar customer experiences by meticulously assessing and repairing each customer's vehicle to its pre-accident form. The Auto Body Technician is involved in meticulous disassembly, repair, and reassembly of each vehicle, a critical contributor to our firm's promise of rapid service, first-rate quality, and excellent customer satisfaction. The Auto Body Technician works in harmony with the entire team in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs and is dedicated to representing The Boyd Group effervescently at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure uniform execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan the necessary repair work and prepare customer cost evaluations.
- Use a variety of tools, such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to mend vehicle sections.
- Hammer out minor body damages and other minor issues.
- Realign car chassis and frames to correct structural damages.
- Remove and replace the damaged sections of vehicles with new or aftermarket parts.
- Replace or repair glasses and windshields as necessary.
- Replace or repair interior parts wherever necessary.
- Skilfully weld and fit parts into place, ensure vehicles are painted with factory-suggested paint, or an equivalent agreed upon.
- Strive to complete work orders within the specified labor time.
- Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure the work has been executed correctly.
- Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Required:

- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.  

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Must be able to read job orders and work independently.
- Must have the ability to collaborate with other repairers in a body shop. 
- Must possess a deep understanding of procedures and techniques to repair vehicle bodies.   
- Must be proficient in using trade-related tools.  

Other Requirements:

- Must possess ability to work safely in a noisy environment with potential odors.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to visually examine vehicle damage in varied weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
