Job Description:

Radiology Image Library Associate Opportunity! Dive into a fast-paced role where you'll process and digitize imaging procedures, ensuring seamless integration into our innovative PACS system. Role Overview:

  • Perform routine digitizing of submitted CDs as described in the Dept. of Radiology Policy and Procedure Manual. Responsible for uploading radiographic studies from clinic areas within the Hospital on a consistent and timely basis.
  • Review orders in RIS for each examination. Modifies orders to correlate with submitted studies. Reviews for completeness (i.e., UPS slip, written report, exam complete)
  • Call requesting service area when orders are not available for release and follows-up on status of these orders.
  • Identify order priority of submitted studies and organizes appropriately by Stat Read, Stat File, Read and File Only classifications.
  • Prepares, organizes, and enters data into an appropriate computer system.
  • Accurately enters patient demographics, name, MRN, pt. type, account number, requesting physician, clinical information, into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Enter all patient procedure codes accurately into the RIS, prints additional PPF’s when needed. Updates the system with correct procedure code when procedure has been modified.
  • Enter accurate patient demographics into equipment.
  • Document reason why images cannot be digitized.
  • Maintain an accurate record, through the radiology information system (RIS), of all CD movement and file maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure that the logbook in Film Digitizing Dept. is completed for all submitted studies.
  • Track all CDs sent to the PACS Support Group for evaluation.
  • Track exam in RIS.
  • Responds to requests, from clinics, for submitted studies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or other healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with all areas of the patient services and administrative teams to meet objectives and goals.

  • Work independently and be comfortable with multi-tasking on project assignments. Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability, as well as excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are a must.

Hours: Full Time, M-F,10-6, initially for training it will be 9-5.

Pay Range: $22.11-$30.62
