The project (temporary) painter is responsible for performing all work necessary to keep the hotel’s walls, ceilings, and floor finish in excellent conditions. (This position is subject to the Extra Painters provisions of the Industry Wise Agreement under Article 9.)
Responsibilities:
The painting, decorating and paper hanging includes the service of painting, decorating, wood finishing, wall paper hanging, and preparatory work incidental to each of the aforementioned as follows: 1. The service of paper hanging includes the application and slash or installation of wallpaper, hangings and decorating materials of every kind or description applied directly to any surface in the hotel.
2. The service of painting and decorating means the application of all paint and painting material of every description in and on all parts of the hotel.
3. Wood finishing and polishing. The removal of all wood surfaces, cleaning, refinishing, varnishing and polishing of furniture and wood fixtures in the hotel.

Requirements:
•Technical, Trade, or Vocational school degree or equivalent work-related experience
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to push and pull carts and equipment
•Ability to bend, squat and lift up to 75 pounds regularly
•Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility
•Ability to multi-task
•Using two-way communications devices (i.e. radios)
•A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach
•A flexible schedule that allows availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel
