Duties:
- Offer personal care to home-based patients, which includes bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report vital sign changes or concerns to relevant medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA).
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competence in simple literacy and arithmetic skills.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
